Missing PhD student Atreyee Majumdar found in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Apr 11: A PhD research student, who has been missing since April 4, has been found, said police at Marathalli.

Atreyee Majumdar (35) is the PhD student. 

Atreyee Majumdar was staying with her parents at Kariyammana Agrahara. She left home at 9 am on April 4 with her passport and money. 

She was last seen at a hotel in Whitefield in the city. 

Police collected the CCTV footage from the hotel and investigated the matter. 

Atreyee is an alumnus of the National Law School of India University in Bengaluru. 

Family and friends of Atreyee have shared her pictures on social media in an attempt to reach out to her. She was in Toronto, Canada pursuing her post-doctoral research. 

The Marathalli police are yet to reveal details of the case.
