Mayakada Satya, Tulu Play Staged at Annual Day Celebrations of Powai Kannada Seva Sangh

Mumbai, Aug 31: The annual day celebrations of Kannada Seva Sangh, Powai was held at R N Shetty auditorium of S M Shetty College, in the metro on Saturday August 30.

Powai Kannada Seva Sangh president Sudhakar G Poojary presided over the programme.  Bunts Association Mumbai vice president Aikala Harish Shetty was chief guest of the occasion. Powai Sri Mahashesha Mandir trustee Suvarna Baba offered motion to celebrations by lighting the lamp. 



S M Shetty High School honorary chief secretary Shankar B Shetty, Babas Group of Industries director Mahesh S Shetty, Air India retired manager Vishwanat Hegde, Surat Billava Association president Manoj Poojary, hotelier Divakar Shetty, Raas Appliances managing director Ramachandra Tewar, education expert Dr Sanjeev K Shetty were the guests of honour present at the dais.

Nandalike Balachandra Rao and Kalajagattu troupe founder Vijay Kumar Shetty were presented with 'Samaj Ratna' and 'Kannada Jyoti' awards respectively at the same occasion.  Besides, Anni C Shetty and Suresh N Shetty were also honoured. 

Tambila, Kannada drama book by playwright Nagaraj Gurpur was released in the same occasion.


 

Powai Kannada Seva Sangh vice presidents advocate R G Shetty and D K Shetty, honorary secretary Nagaraj Gurpur, honorary treasurer Sandesh R Shetty, social service committee executive president Sulaiman M Kulavoor, education committee executive president Dayanand C Bangera, sports committee president Karunakar G Shetty, youth committee president Ratnakar Y Shetty, women wing president Shaila S Shetty, Tulu committee president Hemachandra Sanil and other office bearers were present.

Mayakada Satya, Tulu play directed by Nagaraj Gurpur and staged by Gurukul Mumbai was held as part of entertainment programmes.
