Seoul reviewing way to turn armistice into peace treaty

Seoul, Apr 18 (IANS): South Korea's presidential Blue House on Wednesday said it is reviewing way to turn the Korean Peninsula's armistice into a peace mechanism in the upcoming summit with Pyongyang later in April.

The Korean Peninsula remains technically in a state of war as the 1950-53 Korean War ended in armistice, not peace treaty, Xinhau news agency reported.
