Udupi, Apr 19: "The film is based on IQ v/s EQ concept. Earlier relationships and emotional quotient were given more priority. Today’s generation is smart and parents too look for intelligence, good marks rather than special bond or valuable relationships. Today emotions and attachments have lost its importance which we have tried to revive in this movie. It is a family entertainer with dash of comedy," said Rajesh Venoor, Director of Kannada upcoming movie 'Asathoma Sadgamaya' during a press conference on Wednesday April 18.

He further said, "The film is produced under the banner ICARE movies by Ashwin Jossy Periera. Wahab Saleem is the music director, Manikanth Kadri has rendered background music and Kishor Kumar is the cinematographer of the film.

"The plot of 'Asathoma Sadgamaya' focuses on Sherlin (Radhika Chetan), a Finland citizen, who comes to Karnataka in search of a person. During her search of a missing person, she is joined by Raghava (Kiran) and Sandhya (Lasya) who have left their homes. Sherlin faces several hurdles from various corners and also gets challenged by a businessman and rowdy in her mission. Finally she manages to reach her destination by overcoming obstacles is the story line of the film," said Rajesh.

"It is a not just a commercial movie, but all emotions are added here. We hope that everyone will like the movie because of its multi-content, he added.

Lasya Nagraj, a Big Boss reality show contestant, and actress of the film said, "This is my first movie. I am basically from Mandya. There is generation gap between today’s youth and old generation. Today’s youth are leaving family attachments and running behind making business. In the film Sherlin reunites the family after realizing her mistake. I myself changed my thoughts after acting in the movie. I have started to show more love to my parents. Radhika Chethan helped me a lot to learn acting. Chithrali taught me Tulu during the movie shooting. The film is a package of suspense, emotion, drama, entertainment and action. Over 50 children have acted in film."

Child artist Chithrali said, "I am happy to be part of this movie. I had an amazing experience, as it was my first Kannada film. Everyone supported me in the set. I urge cine-goers to watch the film in theatres."

There are five songs including a duet song. 70% of the shooting was held in Mangaluru beach, Karkala, Mandya and Bengaluru city. The team is all set to release the movie in May first week or second week. The budget of the film is Rs 1.5 crores. The film is made by a group of youth from coast. The lead actor Kiran is a student of Alvas College.

Pradeep, who plays comedian in Asathoma sadgamaya said, "This was my sixth film. The teaser of the film has got good response in UAE, Sharjah, Kuwait and other seven states. It will also be released in Dubai too."

Radhika Chethan, Kiran Raj, Lasya Nagraj, Baby Chithrali, Raj Deepak Shetty are in star cast.
