6-yr-old UP girl steps out to see ‘baraat’ procession, gets raped

Siddharthnagar (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 19 (DC): Amid simmering anger over recent rape cases that have shook the nation, including that of Kathua and Unnao, another incident came to the fore on Thursday where a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a villager in Siddharthnagar area when she stepped out of her house to watch a 'baraat' procession.

The accused lured the girl into the fields and raped her. She was found lying unconscious out of the village.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, police has arrested the accused.

The incident comes days after an eight-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death while she had gone to attend a wedding function with her parents at a village in Etah.

I also had mentioned earlier that it is in the DNA of BJP, was Karnataka safe under the BJP rule ? no. We had so many attacks in Mangalore itself when BJP was in power in Karnataka. Now when ruled by BJP in UP, it has become really not safe in UP. So what next not to vote for BJP and be safe.

These culprits are none other than who have political connections. No ordinary person can ever commit this dreaded crime without political influence and blessings of those criminal and corrupt ministers like in Yogi's cabinet and BJP as a whole.

Respected Mr . One more news of gang rape of a woman by own father along with his friends was reported. I do not know what is happening. The problem seems to be a mindset of people who think women as some kind of commodity. We must pressurise for some policy changes. It seems that people are happy politicking. In Maharashtra, there is complaint on youths on candle light protest molested fellow woman protesters. I urge people to pressurise for changes and also give some constructive suggestions.

Mulayam Singh Yadav the long serving former cheif minister of this state had opposed death penalty proposal mooted for Rapists. He said "ladke, ladke hain… galti ho jati hai (boys will be boys… they commit mistakes).”. I hope a new law is broght in to bring shiver into child rapists. Death penalty for such henious crime is the need of the Hour.
