34-year-old Maulvi arrested in Ghaziabad madrasa minor rape case

New Delhi, Apr 28 (Zee News): A 34-year-old cleric has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a minor girl at a madrasa in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

The minor was allegedly raped by a juvenile at the madrasa after kidnapping her from east Delhi's Ghazipur.

According to reports, the 'maulvi' or Muslim cleric, identified as 'Ghulam Shahid', was taken into custody since he was aware of the crime committed on the 10-year-old girl at the madrasa premises, the UP Police said.

The investigation into the incident was transferred to the Crime Branch on Thursday.

The 10-year-old girl was rescued from the madrasa by a Delhi Police team on April 22.

The police took the action after the girl's father reported to them that his daughter had gone missing after she went to the market on April 21.

Subsequently, the girl was rescued from the madrasa and the juvenile was apprehended, the police said.

On April 23 the statement of the minor girl was recorded in front of a magistrate.

In her statement, the girl said that she was taken to the madrasa by the juvenile accused to meet his friends.

The girl's parents had also been demanding the arrest of the cleric as they alleged that the man was fully aware of the crime.

    Finally authority suceeded in arresting the rapist.
    there was lot of pressure to arrest the rapist from public.
    no media reported this news .
    people finally suceeded to give justice to the victim.

    i hope he rapist will be hanged.

    The urgent requirement of the hour is to reduce the age of juvenile. If a person can abduct and rape then how can he be a juvenile?. Is he doing that as a play? or his mind is already grown more than required?

    Its also required to give very harsh punishment to the person who is helping the criminal in any form as he also shares the same mentality as the criminal and may be just waiting for suitable opportunity to commit that crime.

    But it should also be noted that even if it is the consensual sex by a minor with his partner; technically that is considered as a case of abduction and rape.

    Don't act like innocents.

    Yogi tried to save the alleged rapist and killers of victim's father (inside a police station. )

    Modi and all his Sanskari chaddi gangue were also in silent support to the alleged killers and rapists who abducted and sedated and gang raped and killed a 8 year old child for a week a inside a temple. This rape and killing took just on the basis of religion of that innocent child. No bhakth was insulted as a rape took place inside a temple.

    In both the above cases, it is clearly visible that they are not just rape cases; it reveals the dirty mindset of our famouse and big hearted politicians and indicates the state and bureaucratic support to the alleged killers and rapists

    First of all the Moulvi is arrested for abetting the crime. Even then he is equally responsible for shameful and forbidden act of rape. So he deserves the strict and harsh punishment according to the law applicable.
    Secondly nobody on communal or religious angle is defending or protecting him. (and shall not be at any cost/level).
    No body is coming in the way of investigation or trial of these culprits.
    No body is forming ....... Ekta manch or morcha for defending the culprits.
    So where is a need for midnight candle march????

    Ashok shetty, Dont be so naive, The candle light protest was because of the support of B.J.P & the R.S.S to the accused and also because in U.P right under the Cowherd Yogis nose, the Father of the rape victim was killed . What a Cruel act. What a Shame to the B.J.P Govt. How can anybody support the Rape Accused. Everybody will want the rape accused to be delt with severely except for the B.J.P ......This Mowli should be hanged . We from Karnataka , demand that all the rape accused must be hanged .
