MTNL Announces Cash Reward of Rs 11 Lac for Olympic Medalist Sushil Kumar

Mumbai, Aug 6: MTNL has announced a cash reward of Rs 11 lac for their employee Sushil Kumar, who bagged a bronze medal in wrestling, at the Beijing Olympics. He has previously won a gold medal at the Commonwealth games held in 2003 at Ontario, Canada. He also won a gold medal at the Olympic qualifying championship in Bulgaria in 2004.

MTNL has actively encouraged employee participation in sports. The Commonwealth wrestling tournament of 2007, saw MTNL employees Yogeshwar and Alka Tomar bagging teh gold and bronze, respectively.
