Mangaluru: Konkani Writers' Association holds symposium on short stories

Mangaluru, May 1: Konkani Writers' Association, Karnataka organised a symposium on Konkani short stories at Don Bosco Hall in city on Sunday, April 20.

Dolphy Lobo analysed a short story written by Dr Edward Nazareth and Jerald Rasquinha spoke on the short story written by Lavie, Ganjimata.

Dr Jerald Pinto, Kallianpur moderated the session. The writers expressed their views on these short stories.

Dr Austin D'Souza Prabhu from Chicago, who was the chief guest, congratulated the association for organizing the symposium and said that such symposiums would help writers to sharpen their skills.

Richard Moras presided over the programme.

Cyril G Sequeira proposed vote of thanks. Donald Pereira compered the programme.

    Konkani in Kannada script should be given lot of encouragement. This will further strengthen the bonding between Kannada and Konkani
