Mangaluru, May 3: "Prakash Rai wants publicity and fame. He wants to project himself as a progressive thinker. That is why he is attacking the BJP and Hinduism. He has insulted the Hindu religion and he does not have any right to talk on our religion," said Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel on Thursday, May 3.
He was addressing the media at BJP office in city.
“J R Lobo claims that the development works have been done during his term only. Actually he inaugurated the projects which were started by former MLA Yogish Bhat. Modi government has also given funds to various developmental works in Mangaluru South. But the Congress government did nothing for the constituency,” he added.
“The declaration of Smart City was done by BJP Union government. After the declaration it released Rs 216 crore for Mangaluru. But the local administration failed to use it properly which had a huge impact on further release of funds,” he informed.
“Definitely these failures will benefit the BJP. The people of the constituency have already come up with open support to BJP candidate Vedavyas Kamath. BJP will win this constituency with huge margin,” he said.
