Mangaluru: Backstabbing Karnataka BJP's sole mission, people won't forgive Modi - Surjewala

Mangaluru, May 6: Congress communications in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala on Sunday May 6 hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said that the BJP's only mission in this election was to 'backstab Karnataka'.

Addressing a press meet here, Surjewala said, "During the 2014 general elections Prime Minister Modi came to Mangaluru and promised several things, but when he came to Mangaluru on May 5 he had zero to deliver on the promises he had made to Karnataka. He did not speak about a single promise that he had made to Mangalureans and Kannadigas. This shows his character.

Referring to a Hindi newspaper clipping where Modi had said 'election promises are meaningless and not to take them seriously', he said, "Modi considers election promises as use and throw jumlas. Last general election people were chanting 'Har Har Modi Ghar Ghar Modi', but now it is 'bye bye Modi' considering the manner and fashion of he is acting. Congress-ruled Karnataka in the last five year has seen conspiratorial discrimination in allocation of funds for development by the Modi government. It is BJP's DNA led by Modi.

"They (BJP) looted and plundered state's resources in the 35,000 crore illegal iron ore mining scam. Modi's puppet CBI is now trying to close six out of 9 cases. After being voted out in 2013, they are attempting to seize the rights of Kannadigas by denying Rs 22,497 crore less in the 15th Finance Commission. The Yeddy-Reddy gang of Karnataka's most wanted is making a surreptitious attempt to usurp power in these elections," Surjewala said.

"The inherently partisan practice of the Modi government in denying Karnataka its share is proved. This is to deliberately delay Karnataka's infrastructural projects. Failing Karnataka's farmers, no central aid for urban development, neglecting education and healthcare of Kannadigas, betraying the Dalits and Adivasis of Karnataka, erasing Karnataka from Swadesh Darshan Yojana of tourism ministry, stalling railway projects for Karnataka - people of Karnataka shall never forget and forgive Modi for his utter betrayal.

"There is a difference between dialogue and delivery of the Prime Minister. BJP has become a party that backstabs Karnataka, and that seems to be their only mission. Denial of rightful due of Kannadigas has become the DNA of Modi - Yeddy - Reddy gang. Modi is in the august company of Yeddy and Reddy, people need to give befitting reply. BJP stands for Backstabbing Janatha Party," he said.

AICC national media panelist Jaiveer Shergill, Manjunath Bhandary and others were present.

With Karnataka providing the maximum revenue to the centre to subsidise the BJP rules states in the north, MODI is only making a desperate attempt to snatch Karnataka from Kannadigas so that he can divert all the funds to his mis managed BJP rules states in the north.

Almost 6 decades of mis rule and looting cannot be repaired in 4 or 5 years. Have an open view and see progress made in every field.. 100s of 1000s km roads are coming up, 3 crore poor got bank account and direct crores of poor got gas connection, job guarantee scheme almost doubled salary, 1000s of crores loan wavers to farmers, 70 to 80 lakhs of direct job creations and so on.... everything will not get fixed in 4 years... the least looting 1000s of crores from government is now come stand still, government services are far more pro active... if you do not want to acknowledge it is your problem

In Congress Regime, every rupee sanctioned by central govt,by the time it reaches the end user it becomes 15 paise.85 paise middle man/agents used to eat away. Now because of Aadhar card implementation, entire amount gets credited to the account of the beneficiary.

We can see over all progress in Road network,Railways,Electricity production, solar power, rise in number of taxpayers and it is just in 4 years.so give him another 5 years to see the real growth.

What Modi said is correct .For congress it has become like fish out of water. They always wants to be in power and Gandhi family only should hold the Fort.BJP showed the way that a common man also can become the prime minister of this country and the entire world is appreciating his leadership. He was ranked 3rd among the Global Leaders. So we should be proud of our Prime minister.

When Indira Gandhi took oath as The PM of this country she said "Garibi Hatao".Her main objective was to remove poverty from the country. But even after 70 years of Indepence, why poverty was not removed from the country?

Always remember when all the opposition join together to derail a popular Govt, means, the man in power is doing a good job to the country and to its people.

4 years of fake promises, renaming old UPA schemes, organized corruption, Pakoda business etc is the achievement of this Govt...
Ask any bhakt what has happened in 4 years.

Modi led BJP's failure is gone beyond broken promises, it is making middle class and lower middle class, not just difficult but horrible.

The price rise was one issue that middle class found it tough, people hoped for a respite from Modi. Instead, Modi is gone a step ahead and made it worse for them. Today in one side farmers who grow food, dumping it because, they are not even getting Rs.2 for a kg of tomatoes, on the other side consumers are not getting it any less than Rs.20

Youth with degrees hoped for jobs. No jobs. On the other side, a news article yesterday claims, 3lakh women employed in cashew industry in Kerala, are in the verge of collapse, because of Modi Govt. import export policy.

Corruption is at the peak. If officer wears a saffron band in hand and demand bribe, there is hardly any resistance. There is no place even for lodging grievance. Look at MP CMO's office reply to an RTI, on corruption. It said, there is no good in giving any reply to such queries.

Women and Child safety has reached all time low, highlight being the BJP leaders with a soft heart to criminals accused of crime, getting elevated to minister-ship.

For us in Karnataka, the episodes of Reddy and Yeddy rule is still fresh. If Modi has to cling on to them and seek votes, makes the point clear, there is no hope left in BJP. Logically with educated and smart people of karnataka, they should not even hit 44 seats.

Give us 15 lackhs then we will vote for BJP....

2014 you won only because of 15Lacs fake promise...

After winning you made us to open an account compulsory, thought with full hopes, with many dreams 15 lackhs will be credited ! But you cheated all of us......

Instead you looted our money and gave to those thieves and asked them to run away from india so that you can take percentage of it at 2019 when you loose the election ! but remember one thing...

Don't worry and don't be surprised if HD Devegowda is capable of returning the favour. He may give the appearance of being haggard and drowsy looking but his brains are sharp as ever. We have already seen how Kumaraswamy back stabbed Yeddy in the CM rotation agreement between BJP and JDS. It is in their genes. After polls HDD and HDK on their own may approach Siddu with support even without being asked.
