Rain, thunderstorms likely in Delhi


New Delhi, May 19 (IANS): It was a partly cloudy morning here on Saturday and the weather office forecasts rains later, with warning of thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places in the city.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, normal for the season.

"It was partly cloudy sky in the morning and rains or thundershowers are likely to occur towards the afternoon orevening," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius and the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 51 per cent.

Friday's maximum temperature settled at 40.6 and the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
