China Satellite Navigation Conference opens in Harbin


Harbin, May 23 (IANS): The ninth China Satellite Navigation Conference opened in Harbin, capital of China's Heilongjiang Province on Wednesday.

Experts from countries and regions including China, the US and Russia are attending the three-day event to exchange ideas on satellite navigation applications and location services, among other topics, Xinhua news agency reported.

With the theme of "Location, Time of Augmentation", the conference is scheduled to run from May 23 to 25.

The China Satellite Navigation Academic Conference is one of the three major international satellite navigation conferences. The annual meet has been held in different cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, since 2010.
