Riyadh: 27-year-old Air India pilot found dead in hotel gym In Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, May 31: (Agencies): A 27-year-old Air India pilot was found dead at a Riyadh hotel in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, May 30.

Rithwick Tiwari, a first officer with the state-run airline, died reportedly of a heart attack while working out in the hotel gym, according to crew sources.

Tiwari's colleague Captain Renu Maulay identified the body after police broke open the door of a small toilet room inside the health club of Hotel Holiday Inn where it was found lying sideways.

"Rithwick Tiwari had collapsed in the wash room of the hotel gym this morning. He was then taken to a hospital, where the doctors declared him dead," Counsellor (Community Welfare) Anil Nautiyal Indian Embassy said.

Nautiyal said the embassy is yet to study the detailed hospital report but it appeared to be a case of heart attack.

"We are in touch with the family but there are a lot of formalities that need to be completed before the mortal remains could be sent back to India," he added.

Air India spokesperson in New Delhi said the airline's manager in Riyadh was coordinating the matter and they are awaiting the nod from the embassy before the body is flown to India.

My cousin is a doctor. We once had a discussion about the bodybuilding fad that has overtaken young men in the country so that they can impress girls. My doctor cousin says that bodybuilding is not for everyone and you should get your heart checked before embarking on any rigorous bodybuilding gym regime. It you are looking for fitness it's much better to stick to cardio exercise like walking and running. These have long term benefits over just mindless muscle building. Condolences to the family of the departed soul.

Body building and even jogging is unnatural for the human body ..Best is to do some ground exercise and some yoga postures .. or 30 to 45 minutes daily walk should do the trick .. don't fall prey to pizzas and burgers ....our neer dose ..idli ..upma etc are great foods ...learn to relish our indian traditional food ..
Be aware of what you consume ...Avoid oily and greasy food ..except the ones made of Ghee or clarified butter...eat fruits vegetables ...dry fruits ...avoid meat ..to maintain B12 levels go for an occasional egg.
The fitness industry is a multi million dollar industry ...don't fall prey to their bait..to impress some imaginary girl which you fantasise...

Jossey, it looks to me that, the co-pilot had lot of stress which is why he went for workout. During workout he must have felt uncomfortable, which is why he went to the washroom, where he possibly died.
People who do not do workout on regularly should run on treadmills at lower speed & when they feel comfortable they can increase the speed on incremental basis, but only if they do it on most of the days of the week. Keep increasing the speed on regular basis & attach the clip to the cloth so that if something happens then the treadmill powers off by itself. Also it's not advisable to do high speed workout on vegetarian diet.
Just like an apple a day keeps the doctor away, workout too can do the same if done with devotion.

During stress even lot of exercises or jogging is harmful to the body. Instead go for walking in open atmosphere.

27 years old Mr Tiwari May your soul rest in peace My prayers towards your parents to bear this sorrow
It's very sad to see youngsters running the gym cardio workout machine at high speed which is very dangerous as it increases the heart rate leading to Arrhythmia
Please keep the rate low .
If you are going keep at 7 km per hour
Middle aged 6 km per hour
Above 50 years of age keep at 4.5 to 5 it's very safe
Don't run on machine it increases heart beats to dangerous levels

If death of unknown indian occur..it will take at least 20-30 days to release it and to habdover to correct family members.
Our embassy is not so powerful as of others..credit goes to earlier govt.
After travelling by modiji often our international relations is become far better than earlier. External ministry working hard in this matter.
