The CBI is reportedly investigating a case related to demonetised currency. The CBI raided five places simultaneously, all of them associated with close relatives and aides of D K Shivakumar.
Earlier D K Shivakumar and his brother D K Suresh had alleged of a possible raid by the CBI at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
In an urgent press meet on Thursday, they alleged that they had received information that the CBI was likely to issue search warrants against 11 Congress MLAs including Shivakumar at the behest of Modi and Amit Shah.
The DK brothers alleged that the BJP national leaders were playing hate politics. "Modi and Amit Shah are playing hate politics and murdering the democracy. The CBI is preparing to issue search warrant by registering case against us," they had said.
"On Wednesday, we received information that they have received search warrant from the CBI court. For the last four months we have been receiving information about these central agencies acting at the behest of the BJP leaders," they informed.
"We respect judiciary. We are ready to face them because we have not done anything wrong. We are not deterred by the vindictive politics and other tactics. They are harassing our supporters and relatives. Soon we will come to know about this move. We will not be cowed down by such threats," they said.
