Canara Welfare Association Celebrates Feast of Nativity of Mary

Mumbai, Sep 15:
Canara Welfare Association of Sacred Heart church, located at Mahakali Caves, Andheri (East) celebrated the feast of Nativity of Mary, on Sunday September 14, at the church auditorium. 
 
Fr Baptist Pais, parish priest of Sacred Hear church, Fr Salvador Serrao, Fr Lawrence D Souza, Fr Edward and Fr Richard Almeida offered the festive Eucharistic Mass, attended by thousands of faithful.


Children gathered at the statue of Infant Mary placed in altar at church grounds, in order to honour with showers of flowers. 
Secular Citizen weekly publisher Suzanne Lawrence Coelho offered motion to the celebrations in a simple ceremony, by lighting the lamp. 
 
Fr Baptist Pais honoured the main sponsors of celebrations Richard and Lydwin D Souza couple at the same occasion.  Fr Pais also blessed the new corn and the vegetarian dishes prepared for the celebrations. 
 
Canara Welfare Association chief organizer Tony Francis and Julie F D Almeida couple welcomed Fr Baptist Pais with flower bouquet. 
 
Clement Lobo compered the programme while Association secretary Lenny Fernandes proposed vote of thanks.
