Udupi: 'Not a single death in communal incident during my tenure' - Madhwaraj on Hussainabba case

Udupi, Jun 3: Soon after it came to light that some personnel of the Hiriadka police were hand-in-glove with the Bajrang Dal in connection to the death of cattle trader Hussainabba at Perdoor, former MLA and Congress leader Pramod Madhwaraj took a veiled dig at Udupi BJP MLA.

Taking to Twitter, he condemned the incident and said that during his tenure as the district in-charge minister, not a single death took place due to communal incident, and days after he demiteed office, a Muslim had died at the hands of the Bajrang Dal and the police.


"During my tenure as district minister udupi not a single death due to communal incidents. Soon after I demitted office an elderly Muslim killed by bhajrang dal and the police together. Really shocking and condemnable," he tweeted.

It may however be noted that the Congress-JD(S) coalition cabinet is yet to be formed, and presently, Udupi has no district in-charge minister. In the recent assembly elections, BJP won all the seats in Udupi district.

Hussainabba was assaulted by Bajrang Dal activists when he and two others were transporing cattle, allegedly illegally. Investigation into the case has revealed that at least three personnel of Hiriadka police station were hand-in-glove the the activists and had even tried to cover up the crime by dumping Hussainabba's body in Perdoor. A total of ten people including VHP leader and Bajrang Dal activists have been arrested so far and three cops have been suspended.

    Until Every Vote for Modi (EVM) is in use your dream of becoming MLA will not be realised. the think tank of BJP has set EVM in a way that all the by-polls they loose and all the main elections they will win looking at the uncertainty in some of the constituency. recently it was found that every 4th vote for opposition was set for BJP.

The other parties suffered in silence and waited for elections to give you what you deserved. If you are a true leader you will have to ask why Husainabba and his acomplices run away from the scene?     Illegal cattle transport is altogether different than robbing cattle and transporting.

    If the owner of the cattle definitely sold the cattle and they are transporting it. If the party has stolen the cattle, then, raising voice is right But if they have bought the cattle from the right owner, then, purchaser is not wrong.

    On a general note..., there are lot of well educated & brainy brahmins not only consume beef but enjoy it...!!!! out side of Hindustan....!!!! specially in US., One of my Mallu friend told that.., after all beef is regarded as one of the high energy food capable of addressing infertility....!!!! (aka .. putra jeevak)., even though I don't subscribe such views/opinions but definitely i don't reject it...,

    First of all don't try to ban a food item! Since cows are worshipped, let there be a strict ban on slaughter of cows, allow other variety of cattle like buffalo or Indian water baffallo to be used as food and which is not revered by Hindus!. Putting in place a total ban is nothing but equivalent to cow theft!!!

    if you are in DK and from interior place all those miscreants steal cow from homes holding weapons and by the time police knows everything is over... here comes handy work of BD.....and moreover these miscreants fear for BD then police..they know to play with our world famous law...

    Hussainabad case is the BJP's return gift to the Udupi voters who had prefered voting tainted candidate over the clean.
    When it comes to electing wise peoples representative Udupi voters choose 'Hindutva' over 'development' despite being highest educated district of Karnataka.

    In other hand Mangalore which has dropped in SSLC ranking from second to the fourth Udupi will soon follow is questionable.

    I regret to say that Udupi being pioneer of banking, profession education, environmentalist and space research gifted to India in past is now seems to be doomed.

    Perhaps Hussainabba case is the begining of anarchy like Uttar Pradesh citizens of Udupi willing prefered.
