Udupi, Jun 4: An FIR has been filed against 15 persons for allegedly barging into a house at Shankerapura and abusing a girl as well as assaulting her brother.

In a complaint filed in Kaup police station, it is stated that Nikhil D'Souza, a resident of Shankerapura was on his way to drop his sister's friend to her house when he was stopped by a person identified as Sudhakar.

Sudhakar and others, among whom was Nikhil's cousin Alphonse too, reportedly took Nikhil to task for speeding and riding with a girl.

Nikhil came home and told his family about what had happened. Nikhil's sister then questioned Alphsone for assaulting her brother.

Enraged with this, the accused Alphonse, Sudhakar, Ganesh, Sujith and Tushal and 10 others allegedly barged into Nikhil's house on Monday June 3 at around 8 pm and abused him and his sisters.

Nikhil's sister in her complaint has also alleged that the accused had slapped Nikhil and kicked him.

As per the complaint, the Kaup police have booked the accused under sections 143, 147, 447, 323, 354, 504, 506 and 149 of the IPC.
