Reaching out Christians and Muslims by Vedavyas Kamath shows his leadership skills. This gentleman hopefully use his independent thinking power than follow the party's communal agenda. The essence of democracy is inclusion of people from all walks of life in the governance. J.R. Lobo is a able and honest person but he lost because he happened to be a Christian. However, we Christians do not need only a baptized person to represent us. VK and JR can work hand in hand for the development of Mangalore. DK is very sensitive area for communal clash and I hope these independent thinking leaders can make much difference in Mangalore. All the best to MLA Kamath.

A good gesture by Catholic Christians, who are just 2.5% but build many such Leaders, who are aware of the services of this small community in Nation Building,. As his slogan, "lets contest elections as Mangaloreans and work for Mangaluru" is the right approach to work for all. Lets support and get the best out of him for all.

    Its a twisted logic.
If win, then its by our strength.
If loss, then it must be EVM.
Only big hole in the logicis nobody has of date has been able to prove EVM tampering in the court.

People should not support any party simply because " jana marulo or jathre marulo " but support should be based on policies and practices of parties and candidates. In our time, V.P.Singh, I. K .Gujral, A.B.Vajapaye, Dr.Manmohan Singh were people's favourite prime ministers. Although they are not belonging to one party, people supported them regardless of party barriers. One cannot be used their own religion to gain political power,India does not belongs to any particular religion or cast and no political parties can claim that India is their own property. India belongs to each and every Indians.

I hope the present south MLA Vedavyas Kamath will continue the good work that JRL did and make a name for himself than concentrate on Hindutva and Hinduism. Also we hope he will not keep blaming JRL for all the problems (when there is none) than think and solve the problems. All 5 fingers are not the same and he should realise what mistakes have been committed could be rectified by him through his intelligence and what good work has been done by JRL he can use that expertise and move forward.

Do elected representatives and Govt.officials need to bend to garlands, flowers and 'Sanmaanas'?
They are there to do good and care for the people who need and look for their timely services.
As always, is there any doubt that such sanmaanas are only a form of corruption and back scratching.
We seen with disgust and dismay the how in the past such dignitaries, worthy and unworthy, have been given such unnecessary honors galore....and performed 'foundation laying' and ribbon cutting only to be obliged to 'scratch back' later on. I feel at least the young honest dignitaries will ponder and eliminate such superficial....enough of deserving people can be found for such things. Thanks & Regards. Namaskar!

Good decision to honour Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath.
There should be this kind of harmony between we citizens and elected representatives, irrespective of political affiliations, like we have harmonious relations with:-
INC, NCP, AAP, All Janata Dal, BSP, CPI, CPM, TMC, SP etc.
Estrangement happens because of citizens as well as political parties. Both parties should try to bring harmony.
There shouldn't be any barrier between citizens and political parties!
