Bengaluru, Jun 6: Karnataka chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, whose 'Janata Darshans' during his previous term as chief minister had proved to be a hit, has announced his plan to hold this programme of public audience in every district.
He observed on Tuesday that people approach him because they have been unable to get problems resolved at local level. "Therefore, I have decided to go to the people facing problems in order to address their grievances then and there," he declared.
He gave this information to media persons after holding 'Janata Darshan' at his home office, 'Krishna' here on Tuesday. He said that people come from far off places to appeal to him for help by giving details of problems faced by them. "They take pains to travel to the city and meet me. To obviate this, 'Janata Darshans' would be held in each of the districts. I will direct officials to receive petitions locally and address the problems faced them on the spot," he explained.
Kumaraswamy said that people are facing hardships to meet him with a request for help by people who have no parents or husband, assistance to pay school and college fees, employment, medical facility and such other help. If this programme is organized at their places, people can reap advantage of the scheme in a better way, he felt.
