Tibetans mark Yoga Day

Dharamsala, Jun 21 (IANS): Hundreds of Tibetans on Thursday from the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) on Thursday performed yoga exercises at the courtyard of the Tsuglagkhang temple here.

CTA's Health Minister Choekyong Wangchuk said Tibetans were observing a series of pan-India events to observe 2018 as the year of thanking India for ensuring support for the Tibetan people and its struggle.

Themed 'Toward a Healthy India', the hour-long yoga session was led by New Delhi-based fitness trainer and yoga instructor Tsering Yangzom.

Members of Parliament-in-exile and the head of Public Service Commission also participated.

The Tibetan administration in exile is based in the north Indian hill town of Dharamsala.
