Two protesters injured in J&K gunfight


Srinagar, Jun 29 (IANS): Two protesters were injured on Friday when a stone pelting mob tried to disrupt an operation against holed-up militants in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

The security forces surrounded Chatpora village earlier in the day following a tip-off about the militants.

"As the encounter started, the stone pelting mob protested which led to the two civilians being injured," police sources said.

The encounter is ongoing.
