Mangaluru: Tipper - Omni collision near Mudipu - one dies, five injured

Mangaluru, Jul 6: In an accident which happened at Mittakody near Mudipu here on Thursday July 5, the driver of Maruti Omni van was killed after a tipper collided with the van. In this accident, five others were also injured. As per reports, one of them was critically injured.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammed Kamaluddin (24) from Adkare Padpu, Renjady. Muzambil from Renjady sustained serious injuries. Kairunnisa (32), Sikandar (42), Muhammed Muzammil (10) and Mazin (2), all from Renjady Deralakatte were admitted into a hospital at Deralakatte for the treatment of their injuries.

Members of two families from Deralakatte Renjady had visited Uppinangady to take part in baby shower programme arranged there. When the group was returning home via Melkar - Mudipu road, a tipper truck which approached at high speed near Mittakody collided with the van. The front portion of the vehicle was badly damaged.

Al case about this accident was registered in the city (south) traffic police station. Investigation is in progress.

    Too bad to hear about this accident wherein one dies with others injured.Investigation will reveal the cause of the accident to take further action

    don't make mockery of someone's poverty just because you have excess money. The vehicles look some 10+ yrs and have reg number plate, so it is RTO inspection problem if they have renewed it.
