Bengaluru, Jul 7: It is said that the national leadership of BJP has sent clear instructions to state leaders against making an effort to form the government in a hurry, as it has forewarned about the possibility of such an effort resulting in loss of face for the party and its leaders.
It is gathered that the high command of the party has cautioned the leaders in Karnataka that there is possibility of legislators from other parties ganging up against BJP and drawing up a plan as per which they may dole out assurances of hopping over to the saffron party and withdrawing the promise at the last minute to embarrass BJP. Therefore, the BJP leaders here have been asked to be very careful not to get caught on the wrong foot.

The leaders have sensed that ruling party leaders might initially act like showing interest in joining the BJP, and then recording the conversations by using modern technology in a bid to make the party face discomfiture. Therefore, they have advised the local leaders to just listen to what the other party leaders have to say and then hold consultations with senior leaders of the party before moving ahead.
The central leaders feel that it would be advisable for their party to stay away from efforts to destabilize the state government and wait for differences between the coalition partners to widen with passage of time so that the government falls apart on its own. "If BJP engineers the fall of the government, its image might get tarnished, which might affect its chances in the Lok Sabha election," the party's think tank is said to have opined.
As various parties have ganged up against BJP and are trying to forge an alliance at the national level, there are chances of them indulging in different tactics to trick BJP leaders, several top leaders of BJP guess.
