Mangaluru Jul 15: Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, Veerappa Moily, and its members paid visit to Lady Goschen hospital on Saturday July 14.
The committee Chairman, members along with MRPL officials inspected the newly built Lady Goshen hospital. The visiting committee had 12 members.
Addressing to the media Veerappa Moily said," We all committee members are in city to inspect newly built Lady Goschen hospital which is built with the help of MRPL’s CSR fund. This is one of the beautiful projects in the entire country that has come up thanks to a CSR fund. MRPL has given a grant of Rs 21.7 crore so far. It is providing equipment worth Rs 1.5 crore and also has agreed to provide additional equipment of Rs 5 crore,”
“KMC hospital along with other organisations will also come forward to help for the development of Lady Goschen hospital. This will definitely help patients from 8 districts of the state and also from neighbouring Kerala to get treated with high class facilities available in this hospital,” he added.
When asked about non availability of facilities for pregnant women, Moily said, "We have inspected each and everything and will provide all types of facilities with modern technology in this hospital,”
When asked about inauguration of this hospital, Moily said, "We will soon inaugurate this hospital on the availability of dates of petroleum minister and health minister. Little bit of work still needs to be completed and due to some reasons, we have shifted some wards to this new building before its inauguration,”
When asked about staff shortage, Moily said," We will provide staff not only from government but also KMC will also provide additional 100 doctors and nurses to this hospital,”
