Mangalore: World Tourism Day Observed in City

Mangalore, Oct 6: On the occasion of world tourism day, Srinivas College of Hotel Management had organized a state-level symposium and photo exhibition recently.

Presiding over the function, A Shyama Rao foundation's vice president said, that the tourism industry is in need of candidates who are proficient in the field of tourism. Ganesh Bhat, assistant general manager of State Bank of India was the chief guest. 

On this occasion, Varghese Johnson's work 'Function Catering' was released.  Prof Anette Florence, principal, prof Anil Kumar, L Shabeenand Adarsh Srivastav were present.

Kareena B Raj, student welcomed the gathering. Regional Sales Manager of Jet Airways Pritham M N and Manager of Liya Travels and Tours Eulaliya were present.

Head of the department of economics at St Aloysius College Dr V Basil Hans presented the programme.

    The tourism Industry in general could be one of the biggest loser if India becomes a haven for hoodlums, hooligans and criminal sainiks and sevaks of all sorts The Industry should be in the frontlines to raise their voice against what is happening in the country and how fast the image of this peace-loving and tolerant democracy is eroding.
