Goyal hits back at Rahul, calls him 'merchant of hate'

New Delhi, Jul 23 (IANS): As Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the latest lynching incident in Rajasthan's Alwar represents Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "brutal New India", Union Minister Piyush Goyal hit him back, terming him a "merchant of hate".

"Stop jumping with joy every time a crime happens, Rahul Gandhi. The state has already assured strict and prompt action. You divide the society in every manner possible for electoral gains & then shed crocodile tears. Enough is Enough. You are a merchant of hate," he said in a tweet.

Goyal's remarks came soon after Gandhi shared a news report claiming that the policemen, before taking the lynch victim to the hospital, stopped to take some refreshment.

Attacking the government, Gandhi said: "Policemen in Alwar took three hours to get a dying Rakbar Khan, the victim of a lynch mob, to a hospital just six km away. Why? They took a tea-break en route. This is Modi's brutal 'New India'.

The 'New India,' the Congress chief alleged, is where "humanity is replaced with hatred and people are crushed and left to die."

Rakbar Khan alias Akbar, 28, was on Saturday thrashed by a mob on suspicion of being a cow smuggler. The Rajasthan Police has since formed a high-level team to probe the reasons for the delay in taking him to hospital.

Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani also attacked the COngress leader saying that his family presided over the worst form of hate in 1984, after the killing of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

    I am amazed how much Rahul Gandhi has infiltrated the brains of every BJP member, government and bakhts!. It looks they have lot fear about him!. I think RG has succeeded in his mission to distract these people!. How else can anyone explain every one of these giving one or the other statement about RG every minute of the day 24x7, 365 !!!!???. It looks everyone in the government including Modiji are having sleepless nights and are only concentrating on RG and not on their departments!!!!!

    If Rahul is 'merchant of hate', BJP is owns the 'Trademark' and 'Distributorship' enmity in India.

    Modi's BJP government turned country into “REPUBLIC OF HATE”, pushed it towards “ECONOMIC CRISES”.
    Recent cases of rapes that happened in Kathua (Jammu), Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) and also the rallies taken out in support of accused by BJP leaders (as in Kathua gang rape an murder case) or attempt to protect BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar (in Unnao Gang Rape Case), UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s controversial decision to withdraw case against BJP’s former union minister Swami Chinmayanand, accused of raping a woman in his Ashram, the report termed as farce the saffron party’s slogans from “Bahut Hua Naari Par Vaar, Abki Baar, Modi Sarkar” given during 2014 general elections campaign to “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” after coming to power.

    United Christian Forum (UCF) also recorded 216 incidents of attacks against Christians in 2017, including violence against priests, nuns, and shrines. UCF jointly with Alliance Defending Freedom India documented at least 351 cases of violence in 2017 only.

    “On an average, 250 incidents have been recorded and verified each year,”.

    As per NCRB data a total 47,064 cases of crime committed against SCs were reported in 2014 as compared to 39,408 cases reported in 2013, showing an increase of 19%. The highest incidents of crime against SCs were reported from Uttar Pradesh (8075) followed by Rajasthan (8028), Bihar (7893) and Madhya Pradesh (4151), they accounted for 17.2%, 17.1%, 16.8% and 8.8% respectively during 2014.

    Farmers’ suicides have continued unabated. Suicides by farmers rose 42% between 2014 and 2015. Over 36000 farm suicides were reported in the first 3 years of BJP government. Three BJP ruled states Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh accounted for over 50% of all farmers’ suicides.

    We all remember how Modi Ji used every such opputunity like rapes of women in Delhi before last general elections to hammer the Congress. So whats wrong in Rahul vetting the peoples anguish to such repeated Lynchings that has made us a laughing stock in the comity of nations.

    It is the Silence of the PM and the BJP in the past to such atrocities that has given rise to such repeated incidents.

    All happenning in BJP ruled states.
