New Delhi, Jul 24 (Zee News): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shatrughan Sinha has now come out in support of Congress president Rahul Gandhi over the latter hugging Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Lok Sabha during the no-confidence motion debate on Friday.

Taking to microblogging site Twitter, the BJP leader called Rahul Gandhi “dynamic young leader of the youth & generation next” and questioned the “hue & cry over a Pyar ki Jhappi” by the Congress president to Prime Minister Modi.


“What's the big fuss, hue & cry over a "Pyar ki Jhappi", an affectionate hug? Dynamic young leader of the youth & generation next, @RahulGandhi spontaneously gave a warm hug to our Hon'ble PM after his speech in Parliament. What a splendid gesture?” tweeted Sinha.

The actor-politician further pointed that it has been a “trademark” of Prime Minister Modi to receive all foreign dignitaries with a hug, and hence the hug by the Congress president on the floor of the House should also be accepted with “love & grace”.

The BJP MP said, “Hasn't it been the trademark of our Hon'ble PM to receive all foreign dignitaries with a HUG..so what was so different now? Let's accept it with love & grace. ‘Zara Si Baat Ka Afsana Bana Dete Hain log, Kaise nadan hai ki sholon ko hawa dete hain log’.”

This comes a day after Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar attacked the Gandhi scion over his action inside Parliament, saying the move had exposed Congress “theatrics”. "During the no-confidence motion, Congress was exposed completely. When Rahul Gandhi hugged PM Modi, it meant that they don't have any issue. Besides 'Dramebazi' Congress doesn't have any issue to talk about," Javadekar had said.

During the no-confidence motion debate in the lower house of Parliament on July 20, Rahul Gandhi had hugged Prime Minister Narendra Modi after ending his speech. Towards the end of his speech, Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP might consider him a "pappu", but he had no hatred for them. And then he left his seat to walk to the Treasury benches and hugged the Prime Minister.

    Rahul’s hug & wink both the actions were to counter Modi Saabs ego.
    It was very much clear that he deliberately brought sarcasm in dealing with PM who is very famous throughout his elections speeches.
    One word two meanings. (double standard).

    One who walks straight with dignity and respect towards others, gets respect from others too.

    If suspended and in the event that Shotgun will join congress there could be shower of surgical strikes (Kamosh) on BJP. He has the tongue and oratory skills and persibakuty to counter Modi Saab.

    Hugging is possible only when two persons are in a standing position.
    Modi must have thought that Rahul approached him to take his blessings by touching great man's feet.

    For 2019 election this man should not be given ticket to fight election for BJP..let him join Congress...he will not even get 10% vote if he fight election with Congress Ticket...let him go and lick the feet of Raga alais Pappu.     Hilarious reaction from all chaddies. They want Shatrughan Sinha to be sacked from the party for his comment of appreciating a hug given by Rahul Gandhi to Modi, but not a single chaddi has asked for Jayant Sinha or that Meghwal from Rajasthan to be sacked to garlanding lynch mob murderers or for justifying acts of lynching...…………………..This is the party with a difference and this is the quality of people it has as its cheer leaders. The whole world must be laughing at us. One can understand where are nation fill find itself if this kind of mind set of hate between people is allowed to grow.

    In the eyes of Modiji and his party members Rahul Gandhi nothing than a 'Scapegoat'. And his party men are walking in the foot step their master.
    Being the PM of a country Modiji always involves himself in a mockery of week persons. Hugs only for eye wash and from inside spewing vengeance and mathlabi attitude. That is nothing but cheap qualities which he entertains on others.

    Rahul's hug was genuine, but Feku was arrogant. BJP always talks more about Congress than development. If they are confident of winning 2019 elections, then there is no need to Target Congress and other opposition parties. Once a feku always a Feku..
