IIM-Lucknow signs MoU for short-term certification in management


Lucknow, Jul 26 (IANS): A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and Safeducate, India's largest training, skilling and consulting firm to offer students short-duration certification programmes in business management, an official said.

The certification course will aim at enhancing the knowledge base and practical skills of students, making them capable of building and growing their ventures. The course will be open to students from business households who have prior exposure to their family business.

Safeducate plans to train students from business families in essential skills including business strategy, innovative thinking, operations and supply chain management, customer relationship management, marketing fundamentals and human resource management.

Under the programme, students will experience a blended teaching environment which will include 100-120 hours of classroom lectures along with 24X7 access to online learning aids and course material.

Commenting on the partnership, Divya Jain, Co-Founder and CEO, Safeducate said, "It has been our continued endeavour to encourage upskilling and vocational training among students. By targeting students who have already experienced the functioning and challenges of their family business, we plan to strengthen those values and skills that they have grown up with".

Speaking on the occasion, Prem Prakash Dewani of IIM Lucknow said the MoU with Safeducate aims to bring the best possible training to business aspirants. As a premier management institute that trains thousands of professionals each year, IIM understands the significance of a blended teaching approach and the positive impact it can have on the learning ability of students.
