Mangalore: Recruitment Rally for Indian Army from Oct 12 to 16

Mangalore Oct 9: Candidates hailing from Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Hassan, Kodagu, Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Davangere and Chitradurga districts, aged between 17 and 23 years, having a minimum of 166 cms height and 50 kgs weight with SSLC and PUC education or equivalent level, interested to join the Indian army, may attend the Army recruitment rally, being conducted at Nehru Maidan of Hassan from October 12 to October 16.

The candidates from other districts may participate in the rally to be conducted on October 15 and 16 at the same venue. The candidates can participate in the rally, duly producing the original certificates and two certified copies thereof, along with 10 recent passport size photographs, sports and NCC certificates.

Apart from the above candidates, children of the former soldiers can participate, along with a certificate about their relationship with the respective soldiers, permanent address certificate and caste certificate. A release issued by the Army Recruiting Officer, Kulur, Mangalore also stated that he can be contacted at Ph no: 2458376.

    Here it's a wonderful oppurtunity for those who said Army should be deployed in places where there is communal tension, please come down and attend the recruitment rally & also inform to your relatives so that we can safeguard our religious places. Also I request Mr.Ajaya kumar sahoo to attend this rally & many more who commented & criticised me, please attend the army recruitment rally. Join Army. jay hind..

    Wow ! Great news. Thank you Daiji for publishing this on this very popular website of Mangalore. An ample opportunity for our youth. Our young girls must remember that this opportunity is not alone for men - women too participate actively in the Army.

    Moreover, poor students who are bright but cannot afford further studies can go for this which will give you further education as well as a chance to serve our country. Hope there will be huge response from our region to this Rally. This kind of opportunity rarely came to South earlier. It can be noted that very less South Indian members are present in the Army. We must take advantage of this opportunity.
