Rahul lauds media for standing up to ‘Mr 56’ on Rafale issue

New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI): Congress President Rahul Gandhi Monday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying his “minions” are threatening journalists not to report on the “Rafale Scam”.

He also lauded the media persons who have the guts to defend the truth and stand up to “Mr 56”.

“Supreme leader’s minions are now sending threatening messages to journalists reporting on the Rafale Scam asking them to “back off or else…

I’m really proud of the few brave press people who still have the guts to defend the truth and stand up to Mr 56,” he said in a tweet.

Gandhi’s dig at Modi came over his “56-inch chest” remark made during the last Lok Sabha elections to tackle Pakistan and China.

    Why Modi is not filing defamation case against RG ? RG said the Rafael deal matter in the Parliament, he is not just blabbering in-front some news reporters. Modi has all required proof to arrest the man. Why isn't he dong it ?

    There are four version of Rafael jets it seems...
    Egypt recently bought very basic version and delivered immediately for minimum price... It doesn't have any much wartime capabilities..
    But India ordered jets which can fire nuclear missiles from sky! Definitely customization costs more money..

    ..Gone crazy..this tactics already used by KUJLI, people know this..wont work anymore..when you parachute part time politician to presidnt post & make PM candidate this bound to happen..Congress negotiated deal, signed secrecy pact but failed to come to an agreement..BJP govt continued process, reduced cost, made france to agree for make in india rest of 100 fighter jets..funny is that this guys says purchase of fighters will burden tax payers crores, but then why Congress negotiated for ten years & almost agreed for a bigger deal!!.
