Bengaluru, Aug 4: Former assembly speaker, K B Koliwad, and former MLA, KN Rajanna, have hit back at the Congress leadership in reply to the show cause notices served on them for openly criticizing the party leaders.
Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gundu Rao, had issued notices to these leaders, as both had issued controversial statements about the coalition government and party leaders.

In their replies, both Koliwad and Rajanna claimed that they had not done anything wrong and that they had not even indulged in anti-party activities. "In the interests of the party we had given certain suggestions and advices. We had given our opinion about which stand would suit the party best during Lok Sabha election. We are surprised at the fact that this has been treated as anti-party activity," they said in their letters.
