Patna shelter home: 2 more girls hospitalised days after two inmates die

Patna, Aug 13(DC): Days after two girls were brought dead from Aasra shelter home to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), another two girls from the same safe haven have been admitted to the specified hospital.

Superintendent of Police, Rajeev Ranjan confirmed the news stating that two more girls have been admitted in PMCH.

On Monday, the Bihar Police detained shelter home secretary and treasurer in connection with the death of two women at Patna's 'Aasra Home' and sent them to three-day police custody. The police had earlier also detained five others in connection with the same case.

The incident came to light on August 12, following the death of two women from a shelter home in Patna's Rajiv Nagar during treatment at PMCH, but neither the police nor the Social Welfare Department was informed of the same. Later, a medical board was also constituted to investigate the death of the two women at the state-run 'Aasra Home'.

Patna District Magistrate, Kumar Ravi had said that the prima facie of the incident revealed that the women had 'fever and diarrhea', but were brought dead to the hospital.

In the wake of the incident, pictures of Janata Dal-United (JDU) leader Shyam Rajak and the owner of 'Aasra Home' surfaced on the internet, which raised speculations of Rajak's involvement in the case. However, the JD(U) leader clarified that the picture was clicked during an event he attended at the venue.

56' size Chowkidar is not saying anything about these miseries and he is busy in saving his party MLA and MP's involved in rapes. Let him visit these victims and let him walk his talk by assuring the victims the justice by punishing his own party men for the wrongdoing . But Feku is ready to do anything for power
If he is true leader let him come out and say I will see the justice is done with in a short time and then ask for the votes.

Let us assume, the abandoned girls are sent to Shelter Homes. Where do the abandoned boys go ? Or, are just girls abandoned, not boys ? Or, the boys survive somehow, by doing petty jobs or begging ? And, later with no family to care for them, they resort to rapes of females come on their path ???

Now, these children are surely of one of us humans ? Where are the parents ? Have they enjoyed physical pleasure, held them in the womb for a specific length of time and once the part of their body got ejected, threw it away ? How cruel ! But, a naked truth.

Can we be responsible so that such issues to not become the government's burden some day ?

I also have a observation. BJP government upon coming to power, with the intervention of RSS has been reason for closure of many Christian Charity centers. This not my fabrication, please google with 'Why Christian Charity Institutions closed recently' - you will find very harrowing revelations. Not a secret, its open on the websites.

The consequences of BJP's communal motives was to come up soon, its coming before BJP completes its term. Its easy to uproot a tree but its very difficult to plant a tree of same magnitude. Now, to be putting up charity homes that were once functioning, is it possible ? If it was, why this result ? Why Govt. run shelters weren't successful ?
