Kasargod, Aug 22: The mood in the family was upbeat due to the oncoming Bakrid festival. All the inmates of the house were eagerly waiting for their new dresses to arrive. However, in a twist of fate, the son of the house, who had gone to purchase the new clothes died in an accident on the way back home after buying the new clothes for the entire family.

This heart-wrenching incident is reported from Badiyadka near here.

The unfortunate victim of this accident is identified as Ali Shan (26), a resident of Badiyadka.

As Ali Shan was returning with others in the car after buying the new clothes for the feast, the driver of the car lost the control and the car overturned. Ali Shan, who was seriously injured in the mishap, was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Ali Shan did not respond to the treatment and died on Wednesday, August 22.

Four other passengers in the car also were injured and they are being treated in a hospital in Kasargod.

Badiyadka police have registered a case in this regard.
