I saw some news programme about Kodagu..... Newly built roads position..... They just put 2 or 4 inches of tar/jally and made a road and it was completely washed out..... This means contractor of the road might have spent only 30 % of contract value to make the road and remaining amount is shared as profit, corruption, and commission to the politicians. Just see some developed countries roads and they are built using concrete and the contractor has to give bank guarantee that he will repair the road within stipulated period if any damage. Here political parties wants to give new contract to the contractor so that they will get their commission.
