Bengaluru, Aug 25: Chief minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday said that he is not bothered by the efforts being made to destabilise his government.

Kumaraswamy’s reaction comes shortly after former CM Siddaramaiah’s statement in Holenarasipura in Hassan on Friday that he would become the chief minister again.

“I learnt from media that there will be a new government in September and someone is ready to become chief minister,” he said taking a dig at Siddaramaiah without mentioning his name.

“I am aware of what is happening. I am not bothered and will not try to save my seat. I will do good work as long as I am the chief minister,” he said.

Siddaramaiah’s statements had created a buzz in political circles that the JD(S)-Congress coalition is set to fail.

Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah clarified to media on Saturday that he will become CM if people bless him in the next Assembly polls, due to be held after 5 years.
