Mangaluru, Aug 26: The launch of 'Bhavalipi' publication and the release of novel ‘Paryapta’ written by Gautam Kutthetur were held at Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal on Saturday, August 25.

The programme was jointly organised by Sahitya Sangha, Govinda Das College and Bhavalipi Publication. Subraya Pandith, Mangalpete inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. Harikrishna Punaroor, former president, Kannada Sahitya Parishath released the novel Paryapta while Abhay Singhwi, Managing Director, Mandeep Marbles launched
the Bhavalipi Publication.

“The struggles in Gautam’s life prompted him to become a writer. His first novel is based on the positive and negative aspects of life. Many readers liked this novel and appreciated him. This appreciation motivated him to write another novel. We wish him all success in his literary future and hope he releases more books,” said Abhay Singhwi.

“With the rise in technology, the habit of reading is decreasing. People want to get information and entertainment on internet and other technology based media. Gautam writing a novel and launching a publication is an adventure of sorts. Now it is our duty to support him. We should read his novel and send our feedback. Same time we need to help him financially,” said Harikrishna Punaroor.

“Starting a publication is not a small thing. It needs lot of preparation and effort. It needs huge amount of finance also. Fourteen years back I started a publication and finally it has ended with a huge amount of debt. But now the situation has changed. Government and various Kannada organisations are funding for the publications and various literary activities. I wish Gautam and his Bhavalipi publication all success. More books and writers may be born from this publication,” said Daijiworld Weekly Chief Editor Hemacharya.

Govinda Das College Principal Dr B Muralidhar Rao, Mahesh Moorthi, Akshay Baligere were other dignitaries present on the dais.
