Bengaluru: Coalition government is not earthen pot that can be broken - DKS

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 27: "Coalition government of JD(S) and Congress is not an earthen pot that will break and roll over easily as told by some people," said D K Shivakumar (DKS), minister for water resources, taunting leaders of BJP, who are criticising the coalition government.

DKS ridiculed the BJP further and said, "The Congress and JD(S) have formed the coalition government as per the Constitution after holding a discussion and mutual agreement. I wish all the best to the friends in BJP, who are saying that they will try to break this coalition,"

Whole-hearted support to H D Kumaraswamy

"Earlier during the Congress government when Siddaramaiah was the chief minister (CM), I have worked with him closely. Now Kumaraswamy is the CM and I will whole-heartedly support and work closely with him. He will be in power for the full term of five years. I will not pull anyone's leg and no one should pull my legs," he added.

"At present, I am not in the race for the post of CM. The coalition government will be in power for the full term. After the Assembly elections, when Congress comes to power, the high command will decide about the chief ministerial candidate. All will obey with the instructions of the high command," the minister said.

Decision of debt relief act not unilateral

"The approval for the debt relief act, which will put an end to the private loan and finance, was not presented without any discussion. This bill was brought to the cabinet meeting after a long discussion between Congress and J D (S) and then only the same is approved." he clarified.
