Udupi, Aug 28: Minister of urban development and housing U T Khader said that the government is secure for five years and there was no confusion whatsoever.

Speaking in a news conference in Udupi on Tuesday, August 28, he said, “There are no differences between Congress and JD(S). We are united. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah is providing suitable guidance to the government. We will rule for five years,” he said.

'Spandana' to help people

“The department of housing will start ‘Spandana’, a helpline from September 1 to provide information regarding Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation. There are different programmes in the Housing Corporation. People are not receiving details. People are unable to know at what stage is their application for houses. Therefore, the helpline is being started," he said.

I send my child to government school

“People in democracy have freedom to send their children to any school. It is not possible to bring a law in the state that children of government employees should be sent only to Kannada medium schools. I send my child to government school,” he said.

Congress will win more seats

“Congress will win the maximum seats in the local body elections. Congress has done excellent development work in Udupi. As many more projects are being implemented, it is necessary to bring Congress to power to increase their speed. A list of 600 beneficiaries of houses under Rajiv Gandhi Housing Project is sent to Bengaluru. It is not approved due to technical problems. It will be sanctioned soon,” he said.

Answering to the question that there are allegations by BJP of corruption in municipal council by Congress, the minister challenged the BJP to show evidence, complaint to ACB or Lokayuktha. “The allegations are because they cannot tolerate the development work of Congress. It is politically motivated,” he criticised.

He requested to elect Congress candidates in Udupi, Kundapur and Karkala municipal council and Saligrama panchayat.

Congress district president Janardhan Thonse, Rakesh Malli, J Bava. Dinesh Putran, Narasimha Murthy and Bhasker Rao Kidiyoor were present.

If Congress is so confident, why we have mixed govt. at the state level MR. Kader. Empty promises won't support your winning formula.
