Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Aug 30: A meeting in the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Thursday, August 30, saw noise and commotion. Heated exchange of words between the former mayor and current mayor were witnessed during the meeting.

Arguments were heard between corporator and former mayor Kavita Sanil and mayor Bhasker Moily.

Kavita Sanil starting the discussion said that a house being built on one and a half cent of land in her ward was demolished. “The corporation demolishes only the houses of the poor, but does nothing to the buildings of the rich even if they violate rules,” she alleged.

Mayor Bhasker Moily, responding to it, questioned how much work was done by Kavita Sanil for the poor when she was the mayor. A verbal battle followed between the two much to surprise of the people present at the meeing.

What a useless corporator Kavitha Sanil is. She is not interested to solve the problems of the people in her ward. Recently concrete was laid for the road near Pachanady and the existing rain water drain was closed with mud. Now due to rains the area is flooding and no way for the water to pass. Water gets flooded into the houses and compounds. Inspite of videos sent to her has gone answered. Whenever it rains small children find difficult to go to school. This shows how much she cares fir the poor. If house was demolished there should be some reason either the plot had been enchroachef or some one may have construed in the land belonging to others. She was fit to conduct raids during her term as Mayor only for publicity purpose.

When a person is unable to defend his mistake, he tries to point out other people's mistake thinking that people will accept his shortfalls. Come to point Mr. Mayor, explain why poor people's houses are demolished and unauthorised buildings are left untouched.
