Mangaluru: Brave youth rescues 16-year-old boy swept away by giant wave

Mangaluru, Aug 31: A 16-year-old boy, who was being washed away at Ullal Sea, was rescued by a brave youth here on Thursday, August 30.

Rahil, a resident of Kaiko is the rescued boy.

Rahil was rescued by his neighbour Kabir who swam for almost two hours in the rough sea.

It is learnt that Rahil had gone for fishing on Thursday evening near Kaiko. As he was catching fish, a giant wave hit him and swept him away. Immediately risking his own life, Kabir jumped into the sea water and managed to bring Rahil safely onto the shore after swimming in the rough sea for almost two hours.
