Kasargod: Miscreants kidnap mother and child from residence in broad daylight

Kasargod, Aug 31: In a shocking incident, a group of miscreants kidnapped a mother and her child from their residence, in broad daylight on Friday, August 31.

Chittarikkal Velladka resident Manoj's wife Minu (23) and her child Sai Krishna (3) are the kidnapped individuals. The incident reportedly took place after Manoj, a mechanic by profession, had left home for work. Minu reportedly called her husband on mobile phone and informed him that miscreants had entered their house. Her mobile was switched off soon afterwards.



The suspects escaped with the mother and her son by the time locals rushed towards their house after hearing loud screams. People informed about it to the police who started looking into the incident.

District SP Dr A Srinivas, Kanhangad DySP P P Sudhakaran, Chittarikkal station sub inspector Ranjith Ravindran and other police officials reached the spot. Sniffer dogs and forensic experts were pressed into action to gather details. Police are conducting investigation to find out if it was due to past enmity.
