Udupi, Aug 31: Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival is a grand and fun filled fiesta for people of Udupi. On the day of Ashtami, devotees come from far off places. This year the Krishna Janmashtami falls on September 2 and 3.

Janmashtami marks the celebrations of Lord Krishna's birth, the incarnation of Vishnu, one of the Hindu triumvirate, who came onto earth to cleanse the sins of the human beings. The modern day festivity recreates the birth of Lord Krishna and Gokulashtami is celebrated with great pomp in Udupi, which is known as the land of Lord Krishna. Everyone loves to witness various programmes like mosaru kudike, tiger dance and fancy dress competition.

Many parents dress up their children like little Krishna. They are enthusiastic to see the naughtiness of Lord Krishna in their kid. The Devaki - Krishna and Yashoda – Krishna are familiar characters for all. Daijiworld Media is setting a stage for all parents to recollect the memories of their naughty and cute little Muddu Krishna through a photo contest.

Muddu Krishna Best Photography Competition

For the first time, Daijiworld Udupi is presenting ‘Muddu Krishna Best Photography Competition’ for children below 3 years on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival.

Three Photographs must be sent in three different angles to daijiworldudupi@gmail.com on or before September 5.

Daijiworld Udupi is offering attractive prizes for winners. Those bagging the first, second and third prizes will get momento, cash prizes of Rs. 3,333, Rs. 2,222 and Rs. 1,111 along with certificates. There would be five consolation prizes as well.

Specifications:

• Photos with watermark and manipulated elements will be rejected.
• A participant can send a maximum of three photographs.
• Minimum image size 1920 X 1080 pixels.
• Photos will not be accepted after deadline.
• Contestants must mention details such as participants name, contestant name, address and contact number.
• A copy of birth certificate of baby featured in the picture should be attached.
• The decision of the judges will be final

Results will be announced after September 5.
