Mangaluru Sep 1: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has looted the nation by increasing the fuel price," alleged MLC Ivan D'Souza.

Ivan was addressing the media here on Saturday, September 1.

Continuing his barrage against Modi he said, "Petrol and diesel prices are continuously skyrocketing. Presently, the cost of diesel is Rs 70.4 per litre, while for petrol it is Rs 78.86 per litre. Before Modi came to power, the cost of crude oil was US$ 102.02 per barrel and the petrol price was Rs 67 per litre. Now in some parts of the country, the price has even shot up to Rs 86 per litre,"

"Regular price hike of petrol and diesel has a huge impact on common man. We have constantly demanded to bring down the prices. But only empty assurances were given by the Central government. Modi has looted the wealth of the nation through fuel. The percentage increase in excise duty of petrol since May 2014 is 211.7%. It was Rs 9.2 per litre in 2014, whereas it is Rs 19.48 per litre now," he added.

“Petrol and diesel in India are available in the range of Rs 78 to Rs 86 and Rs 70 to Rs 75 respectively. But an RTI reply has revealed that Modi government is selling Petrol to 15 foreign countries at just Rs 34 per litre and diesel at Rs 37 per litre. Modi government has betrayed and backstabbed the people. We had demanded that petrol and diesel should be brought under GST but our demand was not honoured by BJP," he said.

"We will soon conduct a protest including every common man and with opinion poll about the hike in petrol and diesel." Ivan informed.

Ivan D’Souza also demanded to release of a white paper on expenditure spent on just advertisement in the last four years to develop the image of the ruling party.

Brining petrol price down is not Congress pary's duty. They with other opposition can only protest to stream line the fuel prices. It should be the duty of ruly party to ensure some benfits to the general public and not to snatch from them to the maximum by way of Taxes, excise duty etc.
    Modi still blames congress.

UPA government was giving lacs of crores of rupees subsidies to oil companies and price was kept low. Now fuel is deregulated. Pappu and his friends never understand this.
Next our government should find some way to digitally sign each currency notes. That will completely eliminates fake currency and India become super power!
I think currency notes can have magnetic strip which can store rbi digital signature encrypted with private key. Other banks can verify authenticity of each note with public key! Should explore the option of adding magnetic strip to currency notes. (example magnetic strip can be seen in atm cards)

Every single transaction in importation of the crude oil is done in U S Dollar. Now find out how much Indian currency has depreciated in last four years add to that hike in expences domestically. Lot of our neighbouring countries have cheaper fuel prices because there fuel is being subsidized.

Please be informed that Fuel Prices variation has nothing to do with any government whether it is UPA or NDA !

But the Fuel Prices increase/decrease is purely influenced by the international market, global demand/supply, Import of Crude oils………………….

Mr. Ivan congress laid the foundation by privatizing petroleum pricing and Moily Oily was the oily minister very close to ambanis, in reality, Congress and bjp are A & B companies of ambanis. Ambanis remote controls India through congress or bjp.

As I have said earlier congress and bjp are a curse to the nation, never let these two parties rule in a majority. The absolute majority makes Indians corrupt.

Dollar demand has increased all over the world. Those who say rupees is slipping should compare it with similar economics. Also during UPA years if it was slipping alone or otherwise.
All indians now feel proud modiji's government sucessfully able to repay back debt made by last govt. Most of petroleum companies turn to profit organized sector.

When India can export Petrol and Diesel @ Rs 35 per Liter to 15 countries,,,what prevents us from selling the same for Indians in India for Rs 50 per Liter???...

Making Citizens to pay through their noses and buying Rafale fighters ...what is the use?...Will we ever be able to use them against our hostile neignbour??...Best thing to do with our hostile neighbour is do exactly like what they do...perhaps more aggressively...administering them their own medicine...
