Dubai: Fourth public Ganeshotsava celebrated with pomp and gaiety

Dubai, Sep 16: Fourth public Ganeshotsava was celebrated under the aegis of Margadeepa Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Samiti, on Friday, September 14 at the grandly decorated auditorium of Ajman Youth Center in the city.

The idol of Lord Ganesha was installed at 10 am in the morning. The eminent personalities like former minister Krishna J Palemar and J Krishnanda Rao, president of Mangaluru Rama Kshatriya Sangha and former governor of Lions Club Mangaluru, who were invited from India were welcomed for the function.

Devotional songs were recited by Rajarajeshwari Bhajana team and Vamshi Bhajana team. Mangalarathi was performed at 1.30 pm. After the Annadana, there was a devotional songs programme under the leadership of Mallika Narendra, singer of Rama Kshatriya Samaja. Singers like Santhosh Kemminje, Harish Jalasattige, and other local artists partook in this event.

In the stage programme that was held under the presidentship of Rajesh Rao, president of Margadeepa cultural committee and Prabhakar Ambaltere, founder president of the committee, guests were welcomed to the dais.

In his address, Krishna J Palemar appreciated the organization of the event and stressed the importance of making an effort to introduce our culture to the next generation.

J Krishnanda Rao expressed his happiness over his relationship with the people of NRI Rama Kshatriya Samaja and assured to provide all help and guidance on government and other works in native place at the right time.

Mementos were given to the guests on behalf of the committee. Ajit Kasaragod proposed the vote of thanks. Immersion of the idol was carried out within the limits of the law of UAE.
