`Baila Dhoom' Renders Great Treat to Konkani Music Lovers at Ville Parle

Mumbai, Nov 1:
The fourth and the last 'Baila Dhoom' show organized by Konkani Abhimani Sangh was staged at Baidas auditorium, Ville Parle (West) on Wednesday October 29 evening.
 
The show started with the song 'Baila Dhoom' composed by Georgi Pinto Aikala and presented by Konkani Kalaratn Eric Ozario, Joyce Ozario, Prakash D Souza and Zina Pereria, followed by the song 'Ambil' that kindled the pleasant memories of the life style of our ancestors, presented by the same group. Later Prakash D Souza presented a song 'Punve Chandne' of poet Melvyn Rodrigues made the audience to float in the sea of love.



 
Further Zina Pereira with her melodious voice presented the song 'Tum Yetay Munnon' that enhanced the sentiments of love. 'Jam Zalom' song of Melvyn Rodrigues sung by the promising Konkani singer Prakash D Souza featured the romantic emotions of the lost love. Another promising artist Felix Lasrado presented the song 'Kesar Kollo' of Walter Dantis that elaborated the beauty of a woman. Later Eric and his group presented a traditional song 'Shirbi Mhoji gay'.  Prakash presented the song 'Yego Mary, Gadya Mereri Koryam Amori' of Yashwant D S Shaktinagar. 'Chondra Bangra' song of Rony Crasta was presented by Prakash and Zeena. The 'Voda Ponda Shez mhuji Mogrya Kollyamchi' of Sridhar Kamat was presented by Eric Ozario in a very emotional manner and with the special effect that brought thunderous applauses from audiences.
 
Felix Lasrado presented the song 'Kenna Kenna' of Titus Noronha. Eric Ozario and his team presented the song 'Dorya Kushin' of late Benna Sequiera. 'Mogachi Baday' song of Jossy Pinto was presented by Prakash D Souza. 'Festa Santek' song of George Pinto Aikala presented by Eric Ozario explained the grand celebrations of parish feast in Mangalore diocese. 'Battabachya Pottant Gullo Hay' song of George Pinto and presented by Eric Ozario explained the corruption prevailing in our country.
 
The other songs presented at this show are 'Dev Borem Korum' and 'Suryo Doryo' of Lloyd Rego and presented by Eric ozario, Joyce and Prakash respectively. 'Sandun Gellya Cheddva' of Walter Dantis and presented by Prakash, 'Ranantlya Mankdda' of Chafra D Costa and presented by Prakash and group, 'Ang Mhojem' of George Pinto and presented by Felix and Zeena.
 
Hilarious comedy skits were presented by Nellu Permannur, Allwyn Veigas, Abraham Prashant and Felix Lasrado with their 'Koroz' troupe.  Naach Sobhan dance troupe with the dancers Avil D Cruz, Sweety D Cruz, Anil Spinoza, Ashwin D Costa, Jitesh D Cunha, Shalini D Souza, Seema Sanctis, and Reshma Castelino mesmerized the audience with their wonderful traditional dances.
 
The instrumentalists were Roshan D Souza, Ashith Pinto, Sachin Sequiera, Richard Monteiro, Sunil Kumar, Umesh Kumar and Damodar Kumble.
 
The entire programme was beautifully anchored by Arun Raj Rodrigues and Melita Pinto and the entire team was managed by Kingsley Nazareth
 
Stage programme was anchored by Leo Fernandes. Anthony Sequiera was the chief guest of the occasion.  Fr Richard Lasrado presided over the function.
 
Mandd Sobhann Ghurkar Eric Ozario, Divo Konkani weekly editor and publisher Lawrence Coelho, Vasai Konkani Sangh president Stephen A Fernandes, poet Ancy Paladka and Vakolacho Tallo president William D Souza, were the guests present at the occasion.
 
Eric Ozario, speaking at the occasion, said that they have put their heart and soul to stage a superb show for the love of Konkani. However, he was at a loss to know that its show was not well patronized in other venues across the metro across at the suburb of Vasai. He wanted to ascertain whether there was any kind of lapse from the organizers or it's because of the taste of the Konkani speaking people in the metro. 
 
Meanwhile, Ozario invited everybody to create awareness among the people to serve our mother tongue Konkani.
 
Maharastra Konkani Association president Benedicta Rebello welcomed the gathering. Although the hall was not fully occupied by the audiences, the crowd enjoyed the show and expressed their emotions with great round of applauses.
