M'luru: Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Shetty inaugurates KUACON - 2018' at AJ Institute

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Lokayukta of Karnataka Justice P Vishwanath Shetty inaugurated the 23rd annual conference of Karnataka Urology Association 'KUACON - 2018' here on November 3 at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, hosted by Department of Urology, AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Mangalore Urology Forum.

Addressing the gathering Lokayukta P Vishwanath Shetty said," Healthcare is an important issue and in our country a large section can’t afford expensive medical treatment, especially in private hospitals. This issue needs to be addressed.”

Every youngster looks forward on becoming a doctor because medical profession serves the people and earns their affection; Medical profession is noble and this impression has stayed in the minds of youth and public.



President of Karnataka Urology Association Dr S B Patil said, "Our association has conducted various activities such as workshops, webcasts in the academic year. The council support was very crucial to organise such activities. Urology in Karnataka has grown and reached to different parts of the state.”

Chairman of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust Dr A J Shetty, dean AJ Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Dr Ashok Hegde, secretary Karnataka Urology Association Nishchith D'Souza, organising chairman Dr Sunil P Shenoy, organising secretary Dr Prashanth Maarla K and co-organising secretary Dr Preetham Sharma were present.
