Mumbai, Nov 25: Three months after entering the reality show, Ashutosh Kaushik walked away with the Bigg Boss 2 title and a whopping Rs1 crore in cash.
Actor Akshay Kumar announced the winner in the resort town of Lonavala, near Mumbai, in the presence of the show's host, Shilpa Shetty, and all the contestants except for two.
"I thank Rahul Mahajan for his wishes and support," Kaushik, who hails from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, said.
Mahajan, who recently quit the show after being accused of violating house rules, had predicted that Kaushik would win.
"I don't know what I would do with the prize money. I will let my parents decide that," Kaushik said.
Model-actor Zulfi Syed was declared the second runner-up, while Raja Chaudhry became the first runner-up.
