One killed in clashes during vote count in Doda district


Jammu, Nov 25 (IANS): One person was killed and several others injured on Saturday in a clash between two groups over vote counting in Doda district.

Police said a retired honorary Army captain was killed and several others injured in a group clash during the counting of votes at a panchayat block in Doda district today.

Police said the groups attacked each other with stones when the counting of votes was on at Joura panchayat block.

"The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Hafiz, resident of Joura. The injured persons have been shifted to hospital", police said.
