Thanks, but can't come: Sushma on Pakistan's invite for Kartarpur ceremony


New Delhi, Nov 25(India Today): The Imran Khan government in Pakistan has invited External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for the ground-breaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor on November 28.

The invites come a day after Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu was invited by Pakistan to attend the ceremony.

On Saturday, Pakistan's Foreign Minister SM Qureshi said he would like to invite Swaraj, Amarinder and Sidhu for the ceremony on behalf of his country.

"On behalf of Pakistan I have extended an invitation to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend the ground-breaking ceremony at Kartarpura on November 28."
