Misty Sunday morning in Delhi, air quality 'poor'


New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS): The national capital on Sunday witnessed a misty morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 10.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average as the air quality improved to 'poor'.

"The sky will remain mainly clear with shallow fog and mist in the morning," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 82 per cent. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 28 degrees Celsius.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the overall air quality of the national capital was recorded in the 'poor' category.

Saturday's maximum temperature settled at 27.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
